Copy Bad Disk
Copy files despite bad sectors
Description
Copy Bad Disk (CBD) is specialized software that recovers data from damaged media. When standard copying fails with errors like 'Data error (cyclic redundancy check)', CBD intelligently skips over bad sectors, allowing it to salvage the remaining readable content of a file without freezing. You can control the process by choosing to skip single files or all problematic files, and even speed up recovery by ignoring more sectors after a bad one is found. It works with corrupted audio, video, and other files from hard drives, CDs, and DVDs. A detailed log is generated, and unreadable bytes are filled with zeros. CBD supports Windows XP, 7, 8, and more.
